Position Overview:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Mortgage Assistant to join our team and provide essential support to our mortgage department. The Mortgage Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth processing of mortgage applications, maintaining accurate records, and assisting clients with their inquiries. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a strong ability to multitask, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with initial inquiries regarding mortgage products, application procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Collect and review client documents to ensure completeness and accuracy for mortgage applications.
  • Input client information into databases and maintain organized records of mortgage applications and documentation.
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and follow-ups between clients, mortgage advisors, and lenders.
  • Prepare and send out required documents and disclosures to clients as part of the mortgage application process.
  • Liaise with mortgage lenders, underwriters, and third-party vendors to facilitate the smooth processing of applications.
  • Track the progress of mortgage applications and communicate updates to clients, ensuring transparency and clarity.
  • Assist with the preparation of mortgage-related reports, documents, and presentations.
  • Provide administrative support to mortgage advisors, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant industry regulations and privacy guidelines.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries via phone, email, or in person, delivering excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with the mortgage team to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Mortgage Assistant, Loan Processor, Administrative Assistant, or related role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in using office software, databases, and mortgage-related tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
  • Basic understanding of mortgage products and application procedures (preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.
