Al Ain City inspired the name of Al Ain Holding (Arabic: The Water Spring). The second-largest city in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is also referred to as the Garden City because of its lush surroundings. The late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the inspirational leader and founding father of the United Arab Emirates, was born in Al Ain. In 1996, Al Ain Holding was established. Al Ain Holding was established with an economic and social mission by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra District of Abu Dhabi.
